Sibulele Mjobi

Sibulele Mjobi is an experienced commercial attorney and entrepreneur. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law at the University of the Western Cape (1998 – 2001), South Africa. He went on to complete his Master’s Degree in Law at the Stellenbosch University (2002– 2003) and finally a Master’s Degree in Finance and Investments at the University of the Witwatersrand (2013 – 2014).

Sibulele began his career in the commercial department of Hofmeyr, Herbstein Gihwala Inc, as a candidate attorney. Here he gained experience in mergers, acquisitions, BBBEE transactions, competition law matters as well as general commercial transactions. Having gained the necessary experience, Sibulele joined the KFML Holdings Ltd Spec Savers team, heading up their legal department and assisting them to extend their market into the rest of Africa.

Opportunity knocked and Sibulele joined the Transnet Engineering team as a Senior Legal Advisor, managing all revenue generating contracts in Africa. Exposure to the business opportunities on the African continent lead him to be employed as the Senior Business Development Manager focusing on the SADC countries initially and later, East Africa and then West Africa.

He joined forces with Owen Dube to begin Kwantu Hills and now, Mjobi Associates. As Managing Partner, Sibulele currently heads up the Commercial Transactions Department, with both Business Development Commercial consultants reporting to him. He is the Relationship Manager in respect of all Government related accounts.
