Owen Dube is an avid lawyer, turned businessman and deal maker. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law which he obtained from the University of Cape Town after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Law) from the University of Fort Hare. His personal motto - ‘survive in a highly competitive environment and to become a key player in various emerging markets and be part of a winning team’.

Owen started his career as a Candidate Attorney at Smith Inc where he drafted pleadings for the Magistrate’s Court and High Court, was involved in court preparation for trials, drafted correspondence, conducted research, consulted with clients, briefed advocates and drafted legal contracts. Owen joined Hofmeyr, Herbstein & Gihwala Inc in 2004, still as a Candidate Attorney. Here his duties included general litigating, drafting pleadings, interpretation, drafting and settling of contracts, client handling and servicing, consulting, marketing of legal services, criminal bail applications, briefing and working closely with the advocates and much, much more.

In 2006, Owen became an Associate at Hofmeyr, Herbstein & Gihwala Inc where he gained skills such as sourcing and negotiating deals and settlement agreements on behalf of clients. He managed a successful practice, drawing new clients and ensuring that service was no less than exceptional. He was known for his ability to be part of a team and command the respect of his peers.
